Chiropractor

RACHEL MYERS D.C., B.C.A.O

Dr. Myers is a Board Certified Atlas Orthogonal Practitioner, Advanced Activator Methods Practitioner and is a Webster Certified Practitioner. She was born and raised in Texas. She became interested in chiropractic after years of repetitive injuries to her spine from cheerleading and gymnastics.

She began getting adjusted at the age of 12 and because of chiropractic was able to continue with cheering and running track for many more years.

Dr. Myers says, “Once I understood that chiropractic was simply putting the bone back in to place and allowing the body to heal itself the way God intended it to, I knew I wanted to pursue this career and help others get back their life and have complete wellness their whole lives.”

Dr. Myers attended Dallas Baptist University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Religion in 2004. Before beginning her chiropractic journey, she had the opportunity to live in Africa and work with missionaries through the International Mission Board. Once she returned back to the states, she attended Parker University in Dallas, TX and graduated in 2008 with her Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Once Dr. Myers moved to North Carolina she worked under Dr. Daryl Ammons and received training by Dr. Roy Sweat in order to obtain her Board Certification in Atlas Orthogonal work in 2015. Dr. Myers feels blessed that she can go to work and see the miracles of chiropractic happen every day.

Dr. Myers lives in Pittsboro with her husband, Tri, and her three children. She enjoys serving at her church, The Summit, with the youth, spending time with her family camping, reading, being a chicken mama and loving on her animals.

Chiropractor

J. Kristopher Thoman, DC

Dr. Thoman has been practicing chiropractic for the past 18 years in North and South Carolina. He enjoys treating all patients from young to old, and all ages in between. He is from Buffalo, NY originally and loves talking about football and hockey and the right way to have wings.

Dr. Thoman’s career started at State University of New York at Brockport in Brockport, NY (about an hour east of Buffalo). He graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree. He pursued his further education in chiropractic at New York Chiropractic College in Seneca Falls, NY, which is located in the beautiful Finger Lake region of New York. There he earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree in 2007. His first chiropractic position was in North Augusta, SC at an Atlas Orthogonal practice. Since then, he has practiced several different types of chiropractic. He decided to come, full circle, back to AO because he knows that it works.

Bringing a person to their full potential with movement is one of Dr. Thoman’s primary principles he strives for every day. He wants patients to be able to utilize their body’s ability to heal to reach this goal. Dr. Thoman learned this early in his internships at VA Hospital in Buffalo and the Salvation Army health clinic; he could make a huge difference in people’s lives when he was able to get them moving better.

He has learned through playing rugby for many years, that life takes a toll on the body. Chiropractic has helped him get through life with minimal residual problems. At Ammons Chiropractic Clinic, he hopes to be able to help many people achieve greater health through natural chiropractic.
